The Shotgun

The DT11 is Beretta’s top-of-the-line competition shotgun, used by the world’s absolute best clay shooters. It is built around a vault-tough cross-bolt action, a whole 3mm wider than its predecessor’s (the DT10) and therefore stronger and even more durable. DT11 Trident Beretta. Gabriele Rossetti shots with Dt11 Beretta.

Interview

What's your favourite shotgun?
My favourite shotgun is the Beretta DT11, which I use in training.

Why do you prefer this specific model?
I feel that for this discipline, this shotgun is at the forefront. In my opinion all its components are of a higher quality than any other that I have tried.

Who is your favourite shooter?
My favourite shooter is the French skeet shooter Anthony Terras. I have the pleasure and good fortune of training with him every month and to my mind he is a real professional in this sport. He has lots of talent and determination. Apart from these qualities in sport, he is also a lovely person and despite his many successes he has always remained humble.

Who inspired you to shoot?
The person who introduced me to the world of shooting and thanks to whom I now have a passion for, is my father, Bruno Rossetti. Apart from being a great skeet shooter, he is the person I most admire. One day I hope to at least match his sporting achievements.

Which is your favourite shooting range?
In Italy my favourite shooting range is the one in Montecatini, where I train every day. As for the ranges overseas that I have had the pleasure of going to, my favourite is the one in Belgrade, where I competed in a World and European Championship.

How old were you when you held a shotgun for the first time?
The first time I held a shotgun was when I was 7 years old and I was obviously with my father. That was also the time that I took my first shot.

What are your goals and plans for the future?
My future plans are to obviously continue training hard in order to improve my results. One day I would like to reach that dream of all sportsmen, that is to take part in the Olympics.

What advice can you give others who are inspired by you?
My advice is to always shoot with an goal in mind; goal are what push you to always give of your best, to work hard and with determination. But you must also never forget the fun and pleasure that only a sport such as clay pigeon shooting can offer.
