92FS Brigadier: Low-Recoiling Combat Classic
The Beretta 92FS Brigadier is designed to be a low-recoiling, high-durability version of the standard 92FS (M9) combat pistol.
To minimize recoil, the slide features a heavy profile--which also enhances durability--and the grips are Hogue soft rubber wraparound panels that greatly absorb the momentum of the pistol upon firing. Other important features of the 92FS Brigadier include the dovetailed front and rear sights that can be easily replaced by the user, as well as a maximum magazine capacity of 15 rounds (9mm Parabellum) for top-notch firepower. Add to this the legendary benefits of the Beretta 92FS (M9), and you get a variant equally suited for home defense, competition, duty or concealed carry and more. Available in standard or Inox finish.
Like the standard 92FS, the 92FS Brigadier is a double/single-action semiauto pistol that employs an open-slide, short-recoil delayed locking-block system, which yields a faster cycle time and delivers exceptional accuracy and reliability. In particular, the open-slide design practically eliminates “stove-piping” and helps flawless cycling and feeding even after thousands and thousands of rounds. The recently-renewed contract with the US military speaks clear: when it comes to dependability even in some of the world’s most extreme conditions, the Beretta 92FS still has no match. Add to this the extra weight of the Brigadier slide, and you get enhanced durability even above these specifications.
Match-Grade Accuracy Out of the Box
Regardless of the wonderful reputation it may have, the true test for a tactical pistol’s worth is at the shooting range. The 92 family consistently bests the US military requirement of a 10-shot group of 3” or less at 50 meters (just short of 55 yards). While this type of match-grade accuracy is impressive, it is no magic. At Beretta, we know that absolutely precise tolerances keep performance consistent shot after shot—which not only gives the 92 its extraordinary accuracy, but it makes all factory parts interchangeable within the same model.
Packed with Useful Tactical Features
This pistol offers a variety of tactical features that make it equally safe, easy to use and dependable in the holster of military personnel as well as for home or personal defense. Its reversible magazine release lets you use either hand for tactical magazine changes, while its ambidextrous safety-decocker makes it flexible for right- or left-handed persons or for shooters trying out different gripping or shooting styles. Its Bruniton or Inox finishes are highly resistant to sweat and corrosion, and after shooting, a tool-free disassembly latch makes it a snap to take the pistol apart for cleaning.
Also available in stainless steel (INOX) version.
1. DA/SA Hammer fired pistol
The 92 Brigadier functions like our legendary 92FS/M9 pistol: hammer fired, double-single action with safety decocker.
2. Heavy Brigadier Slide to reduce recoil
The Brigadier slide is recognizable by its prominent swells on the side: its function is to reduce recoil and muzzle-jump, as well as to add to the pistol's durability.
3. Replaceable 3 Dot Sights
The Brigadier comes standard with dovetail-mounted 3-dot sights. These are adjustable and, if desired, replaceable by the user.
4. Combat Trigger Guard
The Brigadier's trigger guard is ideal for accommodating the off-hand index finger in a combat hold. For this purpose, it is milled for a firm and secure purchase.
5. Disassembly Latch
Like all pistols in the 92/M9 family, the Brigadier is designed to be disassembled without tools for easy, trouble-free maintenance.
6. Reversible Magazine Release
The magazine-release button is reversible by the user (no gunsmithing required) for easy employ with either hand dominant.
7. Non-Reflective Black Bruniton
The finish on the 92 Brigadier is Beretta's patented Bruniton; this matte finish is non-reflective while also offering superior protection against rust and corrosion.
8. Wrap-around grips
A set of soft rubber wrap-around Hogue grips greatly reduces felt recoil, as well as adding a secure and steady hold to both hands while shooting.
9. Adjustable front and rear dovetail sights
The sights on the Brigadier are dovetail-mounted, making them easily adjustable or replaceable by the user.
