Team Beretta shooters recently achieved 7 podium finishes at the 2018 NE Regionals and North American FITASC, which was held at M&M Hunting and Sporting Clay Preserve in Pennsville, NJ. This competition boasted approximately 708 shooters who competed in 13 events.

Despite a bevy of rain showers throughout most of the competition, our shooters focused on the task at hand and put forth an excellent showing all-in-all. Team Beretta members Diane Sorantino, Desirae Edmunds, Zachary Kienbaum, Dominic Gross, Jared Greenwood, Meagan Harrington were in attendance for this regional competition.

Sorantino, Team Beretta captain, dominated the competition as she earned podium finishes in all the events in which she competed. She achieved HOA honors in the NE Regional Lady main sporting event with a score of 179 out of 200 targets, beating her closest competitor by only 3 birds.

Sorantino, who shoots with a Beretta A400 Xcel, attained HOA honors in the Master’s Cup Lady event with a score of 86 out of 100 birds. She also placed runner-up in the North American FITASC Lady event with a score of 165.

Edmunds, shooting a DT11 L, earned a HOA finish in the 5-stand Lady event with a score of 95 out 100 targets. She also achieved a 3rd place finish in the North American FITASC Lady event with a score of 162 targets.

Kienbaum battled against some top competitors in the NE Regional, FITASC, and 5-Stand events and scored in the top 5 for all 3 events.

Our junior team members also took podium finishes in several events last week. Greenwood placed third in the 5-Stand Junior event with a score of 94 out of 100 targets. Gross achieved HOA honors in the North American FITASC Junior event with a score of 191 targets, a score that eclipsed his nearest competitor by 11 birds.

Harrington, who competes with a 692 Sporting, put forth a great effort in this difficult competition and she achieved top ten placement in all her events.

The teams’ season will continue with the upcoming World English Championships in London from June 25-July 1 and World FITASC Sporting Championships in France from July 12-July 15.
