Team Beretta shooters topped the podium at the recent 2018 Western Regional Championship and 2018 Maryland State Shoot competitions.
Team Beretta shooters, Diane Sorantino and Anthony Matarese, attended the 2018 Maryland State Shoot hosted at Hopkins Game Farm in Kennedyville, MD. Fellow team members, Desirae Edmunds, Zachary Kienbaum, and Dominic Gross, competed at the 2018 Western Regional Championship at Quail Point Hunt Club & Sporting Clays in Woodland, CA.
Matarese achieved the title of Maryland State Champion with a score of 96 out of 100 targets, after competing in a shoot-off with two other shooters.
Sorantino, who competes with an A400 Xcel, secured champion honors in the Maryland State Lady event with a score of 91 targets, which eclipsed her nearest competitor by 10 birds.
Meanwhile, on the west coast, Team Beretta shooters topped the podium in five events during the Western Regionals.
During the main event, Edmunds achieved HOA honors in the Ladies event with a score of 174 out of 200 targets.
Gross, a junior team member, secured a third-place finish in the main event with a score of 181 out of 200 birds.
Kienbaum, shooting a Beretta SO5, topped the podium during the preliminary event with an impressive score of 97 out of 100 targets. Edmunds achieved champion honors in the ladies’ preliminary round with 92 out of 100 targets hit.
Edmunds also topped the podium in the FITASC Lady and Super Sporting Lady events with scores of 83/100 and 48/50, respectively.
The team will be competing next at the 2018 Northeast Regional Championship held at M&M Hunting Preserve in Pennsville, NJ from May 15 to May 20.
