Franco Gussalli Beretta Speech
Vice President and Managing Director of Fabbrica D Armi S.p.A and Executive Vice President of Beretta USA

"Governor Haslam, Commissioner Hagerty and other distinguished guests:

It is with pleasure that I appear before you today to announce our selection of Tennessee as the new home for Beretta manufacturing and development in the United States.  We chose this location after an extensive search and Mr. Jeff Reh from our Company will explain that process in a little more detail later.

I wanted to take this opportunity to inform the citizens of Tennessee that your Governor and his team showed amazing skill and persistence presenting your State to us as the best possible new home for our business.  From the moment when we started to consider a location outside of the State of Maryland for our manufacturing expansion, the Governor and his Economic Development team did an excellent job demonstrating the benefits of doing business in Tennessee.  The Governor himself visited with my family and me to talk about the strong pro-business, pro-employment and pro-manufacturing environment that can be found in Tennessee.

We are convinced we could find no better place than Tennessee to establish our new manufacturing enterprise.  We look forward to building operations here and being part of your community for many years to come."
