APPOINTMENT WITH THE HISTORY FOR BERETTA: AT RIO 2016 10 MEDALS.

A perfect teamwork provides to Gardone an exciting result, obtained thanks to years of commitment that allowed the company to develop shotguns and apparel used by the Olympic champions.

Gardone Val Trompia, August 15, 2016 – Who knows if Fausto Caravaggi, when six years ago he drew the first sketches of the DT11, thought that the Olympic debut of this shotgun would have brought so much glory to the company, and soon became the most winning Beretta sporting shotgun ever. And Marco Micheli, head of the barrels machining department, imagined that the Steelium Pro, designed by him, would help 10 athletes to climb the summit of Olympus? I wonder if Master Ferdinando Belleri, with his team of gunsmiths at Beretta 2 Custom Grade Guns department, knew that their precise file hits would allow athletes to win 4 Olympic golds? And Marco Scanzi, the most experienced of master stockists, knew that his last adjustment to the stock of Diana, Chiara or Gabriele would be crucial to allow them to perform at top when it most mattered? And what about Stefano Accalai, always available on the shooting grounds, the only one allowed to touch the guns of shooters before they enter the shooting stage: did he knew he was fine tuning a gun destined to become unique for the athletes and for the history of the shooting sport?

Behind the immense Beretta success in Rio in 2016 there was the immense work of a team of professionals, collaborating with the athletes and coaches who allowed this Olympic dream come true. A team that, every day, guarantees the shooter a perfect service. Available 24H a day, 7 days out of 7, because the appointment with the competition, with a medal, never can wait.

10 medals. 4 gold, 4 silver and 2 bronze. 10 DT11. Assembled individually, a concentration of technology and aesthetic beauty, with only one goal: to win the Olympics. So it was. Without compromises. Programming that comes from afar. It requires to build on the lessons learned in 60 years of participation to the Olympic Games. To leverage the insights of a team of research and development of more than 25 people, testing them in the field with more than 120 athletes of the Beretta Team in World Cups. To Combine the experience, skill and the pursuit of perfection of the master gunsmiths - who for 500 years manufactured in Val Trompia the best firearms in the world - with the technology of high-end engineering systems, and machining departments that have no equal in the firearm industry and that are comparable to the most advanced technology in the automotive sector.

Then there are the athletes. Our heroes. Carefully chosen. Selected not only for their sporting talent but also because of their desire to share with Beretta values and a path of excellence and quality. Identified to be great champions on and off the shooting field.

Along with the DT11, in Rio shooting grounds we saw the Olympic debut also for the UNIFOPRM PRO clothing line, since 2013 proud official outfitting the Italian Shooting Federation, but also the USA federations, Russia, San Marino and Croatia. Beretta Uniform Pro shooting vests went 7 times on the podium, winning 3 gold and 4 silver. And along with those, in the locker room we saw a lot of suitcases, bags, gun-sleeves and earmuffs with the three arrows logo. In 1984 Beretta brought the first piece of clothing in a catalogue. It was a shooting vest. Today our athletes shoot and wear Beretta. Together with them we are working to innovate and constantly improve shooting apparel and accessories, because as in other sports, even on the shooting range the makings of the champions matters.

Carlo Ferlito, General Manager of Fabbrica d'Armi Pietro Beretta, commented these results saying: "We are happy for the athletes, for our country and for the entire clay target shooting system that earns valuable wave of confidence from these fantastic victories. Our project in the competition segment is very broad.

We are close to top athletes, but also to those who practice clayshooitng in amateur way, every day, with our services as well as with our products. We study programs with shooting ranges, schools and Federations to offer new incentives to those who already practice this sport and also to bring new fans to engage in this wonderful discipline. To give lifeblood to our gun dealer network, today we produce also the best apparel and accessories equipment, providing all with the best solution we learn to develop together with our champions. Because we care, and for our customers, every moment of sport will turn into pleasure. "

Franco Gussalli Beretta, President of Beretta and Vice President of Beretta Holding, commented on the Olympic blaze signed by Beretta: "We wake up every day to asking more from ourselves and from my colleagues. Because who wants to win an Olympic medal deserves more and should know he is able to find it with us. Today's success comes from far away, it is a wonderful confirmation, after years of collaboration with athletes, who first my father had the idea to serve. The DT11 is proving to be an exceptional shotgun and we are ready with the new Black Edition series that has so innovative concepts to be destined to revolutionize once again the Clay target shooting  market.

The Uniform PRO vests were by far the most elegant in my memory and, even on television, we have made with respect to this sport that deserves much more visibility to be better known. Today we look at these achievements with pride, knowing we have helped our athletes to achieve a dream that is also ours: to win. My promise is to continue to build the most efficient firearms for the most important goals that each of you can target beforehand. "

For the Cavalier Ugo Gussalli Beretta, Honorary President of the company, there are many emotions experienced in these days: "It's an honour to think that the national anthems of the countries in which we are present with our companies, were played in Rio also thanks to our contribution. From Italian, I am so happy that the Italian Shooting Federation has given the most important contribution to the medal of the Italian team and proud that all 5 of these medals are badged Beretta. Thank you all, to the athletes for their sacrifices and to my staff, for having designed, developed, manufactured and worked hard for the diffusion of Beretta sports equipment. You made me so proud."

With this XXXI edition of the Summer Games, the Beretta Olympic medal showcase makes a nice leap and reaches quota 47, with 18 golds, 15 silvers and 14 bronzes.
