3 in 1: Izumi, Linley and Cairola

A set that perfectly represents our PB Selection philosophy: a tribute to beauty, craftsmanship, passion - handmade in five years by craftsmen from two continents - and the continuous search for perfection. The Izumi Set comes in a beautiful wooden case, designed and handcrafted in London by David Linley. Fine inlays with a colorful dragon decorate the top of the box. A secret compartment reveals a cleaning kit handcrafted by Italian craftsman, Maurizio Cairola.

Master Izumi

Born in 1946 in Tohno, in northern Japan, Izumi Koshiro is the most important contemporary samurai sword engraver, as well as the creator of this special-make of the SO6 EELL. The theme he wanted to develop for the engraving is based on the archetype of the Dragon, revered in oriental culture as a divine symbol of strength and luck.

Japanese craftmanship tradition

As with Katana swords, the dragons engraved on the frame ensure strength and protection for the owner of the rifle and his entire family. On the right side of the receiver, among the waves, is a sea dragon while on the left side, surrounded by clouds, is a celestial dragon. Below, another sea dragon emerges from the water and flies skyward. Dragons are depicted pursuing the Dragon Ball, represented as a small golden ball - the mystical “sacred pearl” of wisdom, or Yang energy in early Taoism.

The project

The kanji “Wa” fully expresses the essence of Zen aesthetics: the search for perfection and harmony in all things. Following this inspiring principle, the Izumi project was born, which combines the noble art of Japanese sword forging with Beretta’s 500-year tradition in the production of firearms. An approach to art and life that is not expressed only in aesthetics and form, but bears witness to an inner feeling.
