Beretta 1301 Tactical Shotgun Receives Golden Bullseye Award from NRA’s Shooting Illustrated Magazine
Beretta was presented a Golden Bullseye Award for its 1301 Tactical shotgun. Shooting Illustrated recognized it as Shotgun of the Year at a special awards breakfast during the NRA Annual Meeting and Exhibition in Nashville, Tennessee. The award, accepted on behalf of Beretta USA by John Tamborino, Product Marketing Manager for Beretta’s tactical products, was presented by Editor-In-Chief, Edward Friedman.
NRA Publications Golden Bullseye Awards have been awarded for the past thirteen years to companies whose products represent the finest available in the shooting sports industry. The winners were selected by a committee consisting of editors, graphic designers and veteran NRA Publications staff, representing more than a century of collective experience in the shooing and hunting industry. This year the Beretta 1301 Tactical shotgun was chosen for this prestigious award from a field of other exemplary entrants. In particular, Shooting Illustrated praised the 1301 for its fast-cycling with specific reference to the importance of speed in home-defense.
Beretta designed the 1301 Tactical for law enforcement and home defense. This gas operated, semi-automatic shotgun features both oversized charging handle and reversible safety button, as well as a large textured bolt release. The integrated BLINK gas operating system allows the 1301 Tactical to cycle 36% faster than any other shotgun on the market. Available in an 18.5” barrel configuration, it features a protected sighting system that uses a ghost ring for the rear sight and an interchangeable front blade site. The receiver offers a MIL-STD 1913 picatinny rail. Length of pull is adjustable with the provided spacers, and drop and cast can also be adjusted to fit the operator.
