Good Upgrade

I wanted a pad extention for my Compact for easier loading but the factory 17 to 20rd magazine stuck 2" below the grip & looked awkward. Instead, I bought this kit and used the original 15rd spring. Not only does it make reloading more solid but it extends the factory 15rd magazine to 18rds. It looks good also!

Vague on use?

I have PX4 Compact with 15rd mags. I purchased 17rd std mags, but have about 1" space that I haven't found any option for (and my understanding is the 20rd will not fit the compact frame without that same space). So it sounds like folks can buy this and put it on the 15rd compact and be perfect (I need just a little extra grip for my hand and this would be perfect). The description here should cover that! Also, I WISH they sold just a 1" rubber slide down for the 17rd STD mags to extend the grip for PX4 compact (NOT SUB-COMPACT!). Springfield Armory XD has this and the fit and feel is WONDERFUL. PLEASE!

Magazine Extension

After reading the first review I purchased the Magaziine extension and spring for my PX4 Compact 9mm. I tried it both ways, with the longer spring and the original spring, it works both ways but the original spring allows the 18th rd to be installed with ease; it gives you a spare spring as well, win-win. I also agree with the other reviewer that it looks real cool as well! I recommend it.

Works for compact, too

Got this for my PX4 Compact, fits perfectly, brings capacity from 15+1 to 18+1, and helps the grip fit in my hand better. Hoping Beretta gets more in stock soon as I have 3 other mags I'd like to adapt.

Needs Instruction

Does the bare spring go in the extended base? Or is there suspposed to be an additional new base spring plate. The Fsctory 20 round clips have a metal base plate for the spring

X Marks the Spot - PX4

Adds the +3 to the factory 15rd compact magazine, exactly what I was waiting for! Install was super easy. What I realized is that you don't need the metal base plate, and you can use either springs. There is a small sliding lock on the side of the extended base plate you have to slide off to install the plate itself. Once the plate is on, you have to slide that piece back on to lock it in place. I can't wait to test it out at the range later.

Fits PX4 15 Round COMPACT Mag's too

This works great for the PX4 15rd compact mag to extend the grip and I can get 18rds in the mag. Problem is only that you have to by the PX4 15rd mags, and this, which seems crazy, given that even on special 10% off that ends up being $50/mag...

Extra rounds

I ordered 2 more from here. Bought one at a gun show here in Indiana but was on a 17 rd mg for a full size. It held 21rds with one in the pipe. Only thingwas had a gap between cap and handle, just cosmetic but didn't care for the look. Took soft side of some Velcro to fill in gap some. Helped some but still didn't like the look. So I took base of 15rd and the extended base off the 17rd and swapped them. Now the 15rd holds 18rds and 17 holds 17 but the gap is still there but doesn't look near as bad and noticeable. Mine came with the comifornia 10rd mags so first ting bought was 2 15rd mags. Ordered a 15rd and 2 more extenders for my 2 15rd mags and that will give me 19rds with first mag and one in pipe, a 17rd mag, and two 18rd mags. I carry 3 spare mags always so tha gives me like 71 rds I think. Should have plenty ammo and the extra length on the end of mags really helps on the grip having a larger hand. I would recommend this to any and everybody. Really works great.

PX4 COMPACT IN .40 or 9mm

This fits a PX4 compact .40 as well----If you are a bit mechanically inclined & use the follower the original mag has in it. It works very well & will buy more for all my PX4 mags (9mm or .40), except the one I take to Californication with 10 rounds.

Push Up

Push up from the bottom on the metal key to allow the extended pad to fully slide into the base of the mag. Once on the mag, simply push the key downward along the side of the mag for final instillation.. It's a great option!
