Stainless Steel magazine too tight a fit
Upon receipt and initial inspection, the stainless steel magazine appeared to be a very close match to the OEM magazine (blued). Empty or loaded, the stainless steel magazine was a tight fit and required manual movement of the release mechanism to properly seat the magazine to the action. To remove the empty magazine, a fingernail needed to be slipped along the base to pry it away from the action. Upon closer examination, the base plate of the stainless steel magazine was thicker than the OEM magazine magazine. In seeking a solution, I called Customer Service who checked with the Technical Department who said that the stainless steel magazine I had "should work". Really? That is a poor response and bad advice to a customer who just had a problem with said magazine. I returned the $99 stainless steel magazine and purchased the $150 blued magazine. The blued mag fit and worked perfectly in my rifle. Beretta covered return shipping and promptly credited my account for the return.
