Moscow (RUS), 11/09/2017 –The ISSF World Championship Shotgun closed today in Moscow (RUS): the most awaited competition of the season, the one where the best shooters in the world put their highest expectations.

And in the world, there’s no better shooter than the one who carries a Beretta shotgun. A rule confirmed since the very first day at the Foxlodge Shooting Range: in the opening Trap Women final, in fact, Italy’s 25-year-old Jessica Rossi secured her third career world title, definitely forgetting her recent struggles.

Alongside the star from Cento, Ferrara, the current Olympic Champion Catherine Skinner of Australia pocketed the Silver, battling with Jessica all along the exciting match.

As a proof of Beretta’s great interest for the younger talents, many medals also came from the junior events: in the men’s Trap Junior, for example, Clement Francis Andre Bourgue (FRA) and Jack Wallace (AUS) respectively took Gold and Bronze, while the whole Skeet Men Junior podium was monopolized by our team, with Denmark’s Emil Kjelgaard Petersen preceding Italy’s Elia Sdruccioli and Cyprus’ Nicolas Vasiliou.

Also, despite missing the brightest medal, United States’ youngsters Austen Jewell Smith and Samantha Simonton placed 2nd and 3rd, once more confirming the instinct that Beretta bears for talent.

The icy on the cake was placed in the newly born team events: in the Trap Mixed Team, officially making his Olympic debut at Tokyo 2020, Thomas Grice and Penny Smith of Australia bagged the first historic world title in this event, while Italy’s Tammaro Cassandro and Katiuscia Spada took Bronze in the Skeet Mixed Team.

Beretta’s tally at the World Championship was completed by eight more Bronzes, for a total of 17 medals, with four of them being worth the World Champion label.

The spotlights of the shooting sport scene will now turn to New Delhi, where the season kicked off seven months ago: there, the ISSF World Cup Final trophies will be delivered, while analysis and evaluations will be processed. Even if no spreadsheet is needed to say that Beretta is the number one choice of champions!
