Hi everyone, my name is Federica Caporuscio and I shoot with a Beretta DT11 in Olympic trap; I train at a shooting range in Rome, the city where I was born on 13 July 1989. I started shooting in 2004. I'm a student/athlete and my philosophy in life is: “calmly live each day, never forgetting to smile and surround yourself with the people you love. Only in this way will you be able to face and overcome difficulties”.
Biografy
Federica started shooting at the age of 15 and just 4 years later, in 2008, was shooting in her first ISSF competition. In that same year, she came 9th in the World Cup in Suhl and won a silver medal at the junior European Championship in Nicosia.

Interview
What's your favourite shotgun?
My favourite shotgun is the SO EELL, since it is an expression of the great artisan ability of a multinational company such as Beretta.
Why do you prefer this specific model?
The shotgun that I prefer shooting with is the Beretta DT11 because it adapts best to my style of shooting.
Who is your favourite shooter?
Our sport has witnessed generations of great champions, but I don't have a favourite. In each one there is something to admire.
Who inspired you to shoot?
I started just out of curiosity with my father, an amateur shooter, and from the very beginning I became passionate about it since I was getting good results in the youth competitions and was able to meet young guys and girls who shared my same passion.
What's your best shooting story?
There are many episodes relating to shooting, both victories and defeats. Each competition has a story of its own and different things happen that stay with you for a long time. Each helps you to grow and improve.
Which is your favourite shooting range?
My favourite range is the one in Suhl in Germany where I have many memories. One for example is the last European Championship where I managed to prove to myself my perseverance and tenacity in a critical moment of my sporting career.
How old were you when you held a shotgun for the first time?
I was 13 years old. I remember trying to shoot at a target in a small shooting arena with my father. I didn't hit the target and the shot also gave me a small bruise on my shoulder. But I wanted to try again because I enjoyed it so much.
What are your goals and plans for the future?
I have many goals for my sporting career. Each year I set a new one according to the competitions I'll be taking part in, bearing in mind though that my true objective and wish is the Olympics. Another ambition of mine is to have a family of my own.
What advice can you give others who are inspired by you?
Be your very own source of inspiration. We are all different, and in order to be a great champion you must have your own personality and style of shooting.
