The 687 Silver Pigeon III represents an elegant evolution of the Silver Pigeon I and is a hunting over-and-under dedicated to hunters who demand maximum efficiency and reliability, combined with eye‑catching aesthetics and a higher‑grade wood.
The precious gloss finish enhances the grain of the fine grade 2.5 walnut while protecting it from rain and humid climates. The MicroCore® recoil pad ensures comfort and stability when mounting the gun, with excellent recoil absorption.
The receiver of the 687 Silver Pigeon III, derived from the legendary 680 series, features a slim and elegant profile and is characterized by the proven locking system with iconic trapezoidal shoulders and a double conical locking bolt.
The refined hunting scene engravings, combined with a modern floral motif, reproduce a design created by the master engravers of Gardone Val Trompia and extend to the underside of the receiver, where the shotgun model and the Beretta logo are engraved.
This shotgun is engraved using Beretta’s most advanced 5‑axis laser technology, capable of harmoniously decorating even rounded surfaces and reproducing, including in the recessed areas, a refined contrast effect typically found on fine firearms.
The extraction system is the proven, extremely reliable and robust system of the 680 platform, with over one million units in use for more than 30 years. The polished stainless‑steel single trigger features a barrel selector integrated into the safety slide, allowing quick and easy selection of the barrel for the first shot with a simple lateral movement.
The 6x6 mm ventilated top rib, with finely executed anti‑glare checkering and a steel bead front sight, recalls Beretta’s most exclusive over‑and‑unders and highlights the true hunting vocation of this shotgun.
