Beretta Skeet Shooter



Hi everybody, my name is Francisca Crovetto Chadid and I was born in Santiago, Chile, on 27th April 1990. I’m a skeet shooter since 2005 and I train in the Chilean Air Force’s Shooting Range in Santiago with my Beretta DT11. I’m a professional skeet shooter, part of the Directive of the Association of High Performance Athletes of Chile and  Advisory Commission of the Ministry of Sport. My way of life is about dreaming and work every day for my dreams! I’m sure this will bring me to live my dreams with open eyes.





Francisca started shooting in 2005, when she was 15 years old, and in 2007 she competed in the Panamerican Games.
In 2010 she took the gold medal at the Southamerican Games and she took part for the first time at an ISSF competition, the World Championship in Munich and the Championship of the Americans in Rio De Janeiro, where Francisca won the gold medal.
During 2011 she was an athlete at the Panamerican Games in Guadalajara, and she gain the silver medal. Next year Francisca took the bronze medal at the Lonato World Cup and took part at the London 2012 Olympic Games, where she finished 8th.
Francisca is engaged.

Which is your favorite gun?
My favorite gun is absolutely the Beretta DT 11.

Why do you prefer to use that gun in particular?
I prefer this gun because I love the performance of the barrel and the balance of the gun is amazing.

Which is your favorite shooter?
 I have a lot of admiration for Shan Zhang because she won an Olympic Game beating all the man in the world. She set a historic moment for the Shooting and for the sport world.

Who inspires you to practice shooting?
My inspiration was my dad. He is a hunter and shooter and since I was a child I used to go with him to the shooting range.

Which is your most beautiful anecdote connected to the shooting sport?
 I have a lot of beautiful memories about Shooting, good friends, funny trips, and an amazing work team. But if I have to choose one, in a shooting range, during a World Cup competition I met my lovely boyfriend. That is definitely my best anecdote.

Which is your favorite shooting range?
My favorite shooting range is TRAP Concaverde in Lonato, Italy, because it have many ranges, all the factories of the cartridges, shooting clothes and the Beretta Factory near to there! And I like as well the Kovilovo shooting range in Serbia. The fields are awesome, the place where is the range is so nice, with a hotel and a beautiful gardens.

How many years do you have when you first took up a gun?
I think I was 8 years old. My dad gave to me his gun and I had to disarm it and save it in their case. And I remember that I loved this job!

Which are your plans and goals for the future?
I want to continue in the shooting world many years more. I want to be part of an Olympic Games again and win a medal. And I want to work for the sport culture and sport politics in my country, I would like to give back to the Sport world, all what it gives to me.

Which is your advice for someone who use you as an inspiration?
My mom always tell me “If you love deeply what you do, the unique possibility is success”. So I would like to advise it to everyone who is interested in practice shooting.

Which are your hobbies?
I love reading and share time with my family and friends. I like the gym and I like the outdoor activities who permit stay in contact with the nature.
