A400 Xcel Sporting Black Edition

I cannot believe I am the first one to review the shotgun. I spent a tremendous amount of time searching for this gun, the A400 Xcel Sporting Black Edition. I finally found it, and bought it. It is a fantastic shotgun. I had it professionally fitted and now the fit matches the form and function. I had to add a half inch shim to the back of the kick off which required some custom screws but it was well worth it to have the right length of pull. I also installed the gun pod which is a cool option. The kick off works and reduces felt recoil. The gun swings smoothly and cycles like lightning. This gun is much easier and quicker to clean with the blink gas system than my previous automatic shotgun. I won my first sporting clay tournament with it today. If you’re looking for an automatic and like to shoot sporting clays, this is the gun for you.

The gun is nice quality while overdone with needless bells and whistles. The newly designed bolt complicates previous simpler designs. Weight and balance is a bit off if your used to the 391. The gun functions flawlessly as would be expected with this brand. I would go with a simpler beretta auto loader for the hunter or clays enthusiast.
