Beretta 92 (M9A1) Compact With Rail Inox: Sleek Tactical Perfection
The M9A1 is an evolution of the legendary Beretta M9 military semiauto pistol, developed with the advice of several law-enforcement and military agencies around the world.
The M9A1 Compact With Rail Inox is a smaller and lighter variation that features an attractive and super-resistant stainless-steel (Inox) finish. Its many tactical features, ruggedness and absolute reliability make it a great choice for on- or off-duty carry, as well as personal defense or concealed carry. New for the 92 Compact series, a 1/2x28 threaded 4.8” OAL Barrel.
Compact and Super-Resistant
Compared to its full-size counterpart, the M9A1 Compact Inox is a full ¾” shorter and 2.3 oz. lighter, making it even more comfortable for all-day carry. While in the holster, its super-resistant stainless-steel finish makes it stand up to sweat even on scorching summer days, while also making it more impervious to corrosion between shooting and cleaning.
Full of Tactical Features
This handgun offers a great number of useful tactical features, without compromising on its military-style sturdiness and toughness. The magazine well is beveled, for lightning-quick tactical mag-changes without taking your eyes off the target. The combat trigger guard facilitates the use of the handgun while wearing gloves, as well as an ideal and secure placement of the off-hand; also, the front and backstrap are checkered to ensure a positive and consistent grip. Lastly, an integral Picatinny rail enables the easy mounting of tactical accessories such as lighting and sighting systems--without any gunsmithing or modification to the pistol.
Reliable and Easy to Shoot
Engineered to withstand the hardest use in the most demanding conditions around the world, the M9A1 meets and exceeds the standards of reliability of professional military and law enforcement. This handgun will reliably feed most commercial ammunition designs, including the wider hollow-points and the hardest-hitting +P. An attractive, perfectly-engineered pistol for most uses including competition.

What a spectacular extension of my brain... whatever I think about doing, this 92FS-compact executes. Great balance, fast-and-smooth, fits my hand perfectly. NRA-instructor had me doing trick-shots during my latest qualification because I was so deadly-accurate with her. I have 10rd-clips (thanks MD), and the butt will leave a mark on the very outside of my trigger-hand's palm after a few hundred rounds, because my palm "just" wraps around the bottom of the backstrap. Only negative I've found thus-far is inability of the slide to come fully-forward when firing light rounds (S&B 100gr RHFP frangible) after a few shots. I've never had a slide-failure shooting 115 or 124gr Federal / Wolf / Blazers... UNLESS ALREADY FIRING S&B, which makes me think it's more a contamination-issue with those RHFP than low mass. On days at the range with only 115gr FMJ Blazers, I've never had a slide issue. Yes, I keep this thing clean and lightly oiled after every trip to the range. Just a beautiful piece.

The 92 FS Compact Inox is an awesome, accurate and reliable pistol but........ only if you have good magazines. It seems that there is a quality issue going on with the 10 round magazines for this gun. You will know instantly that you have a bad magazine when you try to load the 10th round. It's a struggle to get it into the magazine and then it will not want to go into the gun. The same magazine will load with 9 rounds in it but will not cycle as it should. (jams) I presently have (2) of these bad magazines and have returned (4) others at different times to my local gun shop. It's a damn shame that I cannot get Beretta to help with this issue. Not good for ones reputation! On the flip side, if you have good magazines the gun will cycle ANY ammo you put into it without any issues. Which is what one would expect from Beretta. Great Gun but...???
