Not just for .22s.
The Beretta 92FS is one of the best pistols to suppress (and one of the only ones that will even function with my 20-year-old silencer), except for one problem: the sights are too low, and the front cannot be removed. The new 92A1 and these sights solve that problem, making the combination absolutely the best you can get for the purpose. Only downside is that they are so tall that the pistol will no longer even fit in a standard 92FS holster, and the front is sharply squared-off and prone to snagging. Some kind of custom rig is going to be needed to carry this setup, and it may be necessary to re-profile the front sight as well.
