The Ultraleggero begins a whole new chapter in the history of lightweight over-and-under shotguns, making possible what had never been achieved until now: offering all the solidity and reliability of a steel receiver with an extremely reduced weight, which until yesterday was only achieved with aluminum shotguns.

Ultraleggero is the lightest steel over-and-under shotgun in its class, a 76 mm chambered shotgun engineered to deliver unmatched agility in the field. Building on the proven balance of the Beretta 690 platform and the superior ballistic performance of Steelium® barrels, it features a weight reduction of as much as 404 g compared to a traditional steel shotgun. Its skeletonized receiver and innovative engineering design ensure uncompromising lightness, providing faster handling and all-day comfort.

What elements made it possible to reduce the weight of Ultraleggero?

The traditionally designed receiver, with trapezoidal shoulders and a double tapered locking system, has been hollowed out on the sides and bottom, retaining only the amount of steel required to deliver the smooth and consistently reliable performance of Beretta magnum-chambered over-and-under shotguns.
The inserts applied to the receiver, available in technopolymer or aluminum, help reduce weight while providing a more modern look.
The selected grade 2.5 glossy-finished wooden stock features carefully engineered internal lightening cuts designed to preserve perfect balance with the other lightweight shotgun components.
The Extralight® recoil pad, 30% lighter and abrasion-resistant, ensures comfort and stability when shouldering.
The crosspiece system and trigger guard, made of aluminum, contribute to further weight savings.
Steelium® barrels, without side ribs and featuring an 80 mm double forcing cone, deliver uniform patterns and excellent performance with any type of ammunition.
All these features have reduced the weight of Ultraleggero to 2.8 kg in the 61 cm barrel version.
